Made in britain

Why does it matter? I have been thinking about this for a while. The application process was not overly taxing, and the team there were extremely helpful. It didn’t cost me anything, so why apply?

Well, it’s nice to be “made in Britain”. I know there’s a wildly complex number of associations, both good and bad, that people (especially me) have with being British, but I don’t want to give up on it. I am not prepared to hand over my country to a bunch of fascists, and if I can go a small way to realigning thoughts of Britain with something more positive, then I will.

On a less politically charged note, the Midlands was the home of the safety bicycle and the heart of early bicycle manufacture in the UK. Why not try to reclaim that?
