FROAD

A story of design, vision, collaboration and pushing the boundaries.

This bike has been a revelation. I am sure that Mat would agree that we both came at the project from very different experiences. He’s a fat biker, I’m a time-trialler and road cyclist who occasionally adventures onto gravel.

He came to me with a brief, a road bike, but with fat bike standards. For those of you unfamiliar with the dimensions, that’s 100mm bottom bracket, 150mm front axle and 197mm rear axle.

What we built was a wonderful encapsulation of the way I want to work. An agreed vision, with certain key specifications but the freedom to allow my creativity to roam.
